Green Tea and Losing Weight

Losing weight is an overrated subject. Let's admit it, many wants to lose weight without breaking a sweat. However, you need to remember that would be impossible. Slimming pills that claim that they can give you the body that you've always wanted can be harmful for you.
If you want to lose weight safely, it takes more than just one quick fix. You must adapt it as a lifestyle and clean eating plays a very significant role. This leads to one of the hardest things to do, sticking to your diet. In this post, I will share with you some quick tips in losing weight that fitness enthusiasts and models enjoy.
We have always been in the misconception that dieting is about restricting yourself too much with what you eat. Not eating appropriately or on time or even putting yourself to hunger signals the brain to stack up all the calorie sources your body takes in instead of burning them. Our bodies are unique and highly-complex that it automatically signals the system to prepare for the worst. Thus, putting yourself to hunger won't do you any good.
The Solution
Eating several times a day will signal the brain that you will never run out of fuel, thus, burning more calories and producing more energy. Green tea also comes into play by helping in the process of thermogenesis or creating more energy to increase the bodies heat and achieve its normal temperature. You will be surprised that many fitness enthusiasts eat about 6 times in a day! At first I never thought that was even possible for them to stay lean with body fat ranging from 7-10% until I tried it for myself but still being able to maintain my weight and even at some point lose few pounds.
However, don't fool yourself with the number of times you have to eat to lose weight. You also have to remember the right types of food to eat. About 70-80% of this diet requires you to eat high fiber foods, vegetables, and carbohydrate sources. The remaining 20-30% should be high quality protein sources such as chicken and turkey meat depending as well if you are involved in weight training or other exercises that you want to get yourself involved with.
The Challenge and Its Fix
Though it may take a lot of discipline to stick to your pre planned diet, green tea can help you stay on track. The natural components will help you in suppressing your appetite. That's right! Green tea prevents hunger pangs and it keeps you satiated for a longer period of time which gives you enough time to wait for your next scheduled meal or snack.
No wonder why green tea has always been associated with weight loss and dieting. It is now available in several different forms such as pills, capsules or extracts. However, I still prefer the most natural way of consuming it. Although some may say that you need to drink several cups of tea daily before you can get the full effect of a capsule of green tea extract. I do take brewed tea as a form of rehydration and eating edible whole tea leaves is my fix instead of taking the capsules.
Whole tea leaves are natural leaves still packed with its great benefits. Eating green tea may sound odd at first but you'll get used to it and enjoy its many scientifically-proven health benefits other than just aiding in losing weight. Give it a try!
